Bugatti Bolide conquers Miami: largest Bolide meeting ever held on an F1 circuit

There are track days… and there are Bugatti track days.

There are track days… and there are Bugatti track days.

At the Miami International Autodrome, an exceptional group of hypercars came together: eight examples of the Bugatti Bolide. That immediately makes it the largest Bolide gathering ever. The event (fittingly named “Feeling the Track”) was also the first time multiple Bolides drove together on an American Formula 1 circuit. For a car built exclusively for the track, that is of course exactly where it belongs.

A hypercar that exists purely for the track

The Bolide is one of the most extreme cars Bugatti has ever built. The concept is simple yet radical:

  • no road-legal compromises

  • maximum aerodynamics

  • maximum performance

At the heart of the car lies the legendary Bugatti W16 engine, the same iconic powertrain we know from the Bugatti Chiron. But in the Bolide, that technology is entirely focused on track performance.

Eight hypercars, one circuit

During the event, owners got the chance to truly get to know their Bolide. The hypercars took to the circuit in groups, each time with professional guidance. Lap times were analysed, lines were refined, and drivers were able to get closer and closer to the limit of their car.

According to Bugatti, the event was not just about speed, but also about experience. The Bolide is designed to bring drivers step by step to the limits of performance, without losing the feeling that the car remains controllable. That is an important nuance for a hypercar of this calibre.

A tribute to Bugatti's racing history

Bugatti also clearly positions the event as a tribute to its racing heritage.

The brand built its reputation back in the 1920s and 1930s with legendary victories in motorsport. According to Bugatti, the Bolide is meant to be a modern interpretation of that philosophy: pure performance without compromise.

The name itself really says it all. The Bolide is not a luxury hypercar that happens to be fast. It is a track machine that happens to also be a Bugatti.

AutoNext Take: cars like this barely exist anymore

The Bolide is a fascinating project. Not because it is the fastest hypercar ever. Not because it is the most expensive.

But because it represents something that is becoming rare: a car built purely for thrill. Simply a hypercar designed to be as absurdly fast as possible on a circuit.

In an era where electrification and regulation increasingly dictate the direction of the industry, the Bolide feels almost like a farewell gift from the classic hypercar era. And honestly: if you have to say goodbye, it might as well be with a W16 roaring around an F1 circuit in Miami.
