BMW adds the iX3 M60 xDrive, a 612 hp electric SUV that reaches 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and 754 km on the WLTP cycle, more than 160 km beyond Porsche's Macan Turbo Electric. Orders open at the end of January 2027, production starts in Debrecen in spring, and BMW has not yet set a price.

BMW launches the iX4, an electric SUV coupé on the Neue Klasse platform, from €70,900 in Germany. The 469 hp iX4 50 xDrive costs €5,000 more than the equivalent iX3 yet reaches 828 km WLTP, 23 km further. Deliveries start in March 2027, and the 612 hp M60 can be ordered from January.

Volkswagen has raised the ID. Polo GTI's top speed from 175 to 190 km/h before a single car has reached a customer, after German buyers said the original figure was too low for a GTI. The 0 to 100 km/h time stays at 6.8 seconds, and pre-sales open from €39,995, five euros above the Cupra Raval VZ.

Porsche will build the next 718 Boxster and Cayman as electric cars only, with 2028 their first full production year, and is developing a combustion mid-engined super sports car platform above the 911. The Sportwagenschmiede '35 plan, presented on 7 October, also cuts 9,000 jobs and targets break-even below 200,000 cars.

One of the rarest McLarens money can buy is for sale in Belgium. This McLaren Senna is one of just three wearing MSO's Fina livery, a tribute to the 1997 Le Mans F1 GTR. Chassis 027 shows 4,800 km, 800 hp and a flawless McLaren history, and it is offered at €1,520,000.

Jaguar shows the Type 01 in New York: a 5.2-metre electric GT with 1,030 hp, a 118 kWh battery, 350 kW charging and no rear window. Orders open in early 2027 from £130,000, and Solihull starts building it the same year. JLR says 80 percent of the 50,000 people who registered interest have never owned a Jaguar.
