Porsche celebrates F. A. Porsche with a special tribute

12/12/2025

On 11 December 2025, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, the man who shaped the 911 and defined Porsche's modern design philosophy, would have turned 90. To honour his legacy, Porsche presents a unique birthday gift: the 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche, a lovingly assembled tribute that seamlessly brings together the past, family, craftsmanship and pure driving dynamics.
Only 90 examples will be built. One goes to his son, Mark Porsche. The remaining 89 will find the most dedicated collectors worldwide.

Back to the roots: design inspired by his own G-Series 911

The car Ferdinand Alexander Porsche himself drove in the 1980s forms the foundation of this unique project. Porsche Sonderwunsch translated that emotion into a modern GT3 platform, creating a version that feels as though F. A. himself wrote the brief.

The result is a Touring-spec 911 GT3 with understated elegance, refined heritage details and a completely newly developed paint colour: F. A. Greenmetallic. This shade is a modern interpretation of the classic Oakgreenmetallic of his personal 911 and symbolises the aesthetic DNA of the Porsche family.

From 2026, all Paint to Sample models will carry a new exclusive label on the A-pillar. The first to receive this distinction? Exactly: this 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche.

Heritage in every detail: from wheels to badge

The exterior tells a story any Porsche connoisseur will recognise immediately.
The Sport Classic wheels in satin black (normally not available on a GT3 Touring) are a direct nod to the iconic Fuchs wheel. The historic 1963 crest completes the tribute.

On the boot lid sits a gold-galvanised “90 F. A. Porsche” badge: discreet, stylish, and exactly as understated as F. A. would have wanted it.

An interior like a memory: woven history

The interior is perhaps the most intimate part of this tribute model.
Not through luxury or technology (we know that already) but through personal details that come directly from F. A. Porsche's own life.

The seat upholstery is finished in a unique ‘F. A. Grid-Weave’ fabric, inspired by the pattern of his favourite jacket. Mark Porsche calls it “the kind of detail that felt as though it had always been part of his home office.”

Five colours (black, green, truffle brown, cream and burgundy) are brought together in a single textile, framed by Truffle Brown Club Leather and Chalk Beige stitching.
The result is warm, timeless and full of character.

The Sport Chrono clock is based on the original Chronograph I, designed by F. A. himself. The open-pore walnut gear lever with his engraved signature makes it completely personal.

Every example also gets a second signature plate on the dashboard: One of 90, featuring the silhouette of the first 911.

Engineering: the soul of a GT3 Touring

Underneath the elegant skin, this remains a full-fledged 911 GT3 Touring.

  • 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six

  • 375 kW (510 hp)

  • 450 Nm

  • Revs climbing to well above 9,000 rpm

Pure, unfiltered and true to F. A.'s philosophy: form follows function, emotion follows mechanics. The Touring spec with its retractable spoiler fits the narrative perfectly: discreet, timeless, authentic Porsche.

More than a car: owners get a full F. A. experience

Every buyer of the 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche is invited to further personalise their example through the Sonderwunsch programme, exactly as F. A. put together his own cars: with attention, feeling and respect for detail.

On top of that, the set includes:

  • an exclusive Porsche Design Chronograph 1 F. A. Porsche Special Edition

  • a weekender bag in the same materials and signature details

The car can be ordered from April 2026, with production starting in the second half of the year.
