DS Automobiles unveils Taylor Made N°4 Concept at Brussels Motor Show 2026
At the Brussels Motor Show 2026, DS Automobiles makes a bold style statement with the world premiere of the Taylor Made N°4 Concept. This unique design concept, developed in close collaboration with Taylor Barnard, underlines the deep-rooted bond between DS Automobiles and the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, a championship in which the brand has been active for more than ten years.
The concept car will be unveiled on 9 January at the DS stand (Hall 5) at the Brussels Motor Show 2026, flanked by the DS E-TENSE FE25 single-seater and the DS PERFORMANCE Line Limited Edition
A design exercise with racing genes
The N°4 forms the perfect basis for a radical style interpretation. Its proportions and taut lines lend themselves perfectly to a concept that looks both futuristic and distinctly sporty. An imposing “N°4” takes centre stage in the grille, framed by a light signature that stays faithful to the production model but is visually sharpened with pixel-like headlights for a high-tech look.
The result is a lower-looking, more muscularly sculpted hatchback that combines aerodynamics with visual tension. Inspiration comes not only from motorsport but also from the world of gaming and sim racing, a clear nod to Barnard's generation.
“I dreamed it, DS Automobiles built it. The N°4 was already my favourite model, but this collaboration made it personal. This is a sports car I would want to drive every day.”
Taylor Barnard, DS PENSKE Formula E driver
Titanium as the common thread
DS's Colours, Materials & Finishes team worked with four unique interpretations of titanium, a material that embodies lightness, strength and competition DNA:
Pure Titanium: raw and refined, with an emphasis on precision
Liquid Titanium: a lacquered finish with intense reflections
Craft Titanium: a crumpled textile structure, applied by hand in aerodynamic zones
Black Titanium: deep black for the roof and spoiler, emphasising the concept's radical character
Subtle Light Gold accents (DS Performance's signature colour) adorn the mirrors, wheel caps and badges, while purple details (Barnard's favourite colour) reappear on the door handles and side markers. His race number 77 appears discreetly on the bonnet badge, door details and diffuser lighting.
From track to street
The Taylor Made N°4 Concept acts as a link between competition and series production. That is also reflected in the DS PERFORMANCE Line Limited Edition, launched in parallel for the DS 3, N°4 and DS 7. These versions translate the aesthetics and technical DNA of the Formula E cars into everyday mobility.
Behind the concept car, visitors will also discover the new DS N°4 E-TENSE in PERFORMANCE Line trim, on public display for the first time.
N°4: the broadest electrified line-up in its segment
The DS N°4 stands out with an exceptionally wide choice of electrification:
N°4 E-TENSE (100% electric)
213 hp · up to 450 km WLTP · EV routing, battery pre-conditioning and e-Remote functionsPlug-in Hybrid
Up to 240 hp (Euro 7 compliant) · 81 km electric rangeHybrid
145 hp · up to 1,000 km total range · up to 50% electric in city driving
In this way, DS Automobiles combines design, technology and efficiency in one strategic model.
AutoNext Conclusion
With the Taylor Made N°4 Concept, DS Automobiles shows how far personalisation, design and motorsport influences can go without losing sight of the production model. This is not a non-committal show car, but a style manifesto that bridges Formula E innovation and premium road cars.
A clear signal: DS continues to pair design-driven electrification with French elegance and racing DNA.
