There Are Porsche 911s. And Then There Are 911s That Rewrite the Definition of Restomod.

Meet Apollyon: a Porsche 911 completely reinterpreted by Singer Vehicle Design through their notorious DLS Turbo programme. This is not a tribute to the past, this is the past, rebuilt with technology Porsche could only dream of in the 1990s.

From Icon to Obsession

The base remains recognisable: a classic 911 silhouette. But everything you see, feel and hear has been refined to the extreme. The owner chose Black Metallic, broken up by a tri-colour racing stripe that subtly but unmistakably makes clear that this is no standard 911.

The car is shown here in track-spec configuration. Think: a larger rear wing, a more aggressive front end and bodywork that is not merely aesthetic but aerodynamically functional. Every panel, every line has a reason. Singer designs nothing “because it looks nice”, it has to work, always.

Interior: Race DNA With Couture Finishing

Inside, Singer hits the mark again. The interior is finished in Cayenne Red, a colour that balances perfectly between motorsport and luxury. Perforated leather inserts, tone-on-tone piping and a finish that recalls haute horlogerie more than a car interior. This is not a cockpit full of screens or digital distraction. Everything is analogue, tactile and pure. The driver takes centre stage, exactly as a 911 was always meant to be.

3.8-Litre Flat-Six, But Then… Singer

Under the skin, things get truly absurdly beautiful. The engine is a 3.8-litre, twin-turbo flat-six with four valves per cylinder, completely reworked according to Singer’s DLS philosophy.

The block revs to 9,000 rpm, figures you would normally associate with naturally aspirated race engines, not turbos. Thanks to variable geometry turbos, water-cooled cylinder heads and an electrically driven horizontal fan, this engine combines brutal performance with surgical precision. This is not “more power for power’s sake”. This is an engine that breathes, responds and lives, exactly as an ultimate 911 should.

Built in the UK, With World-Class Ambition

Although Singer has its roots in California, this DLS Turbo was built by the specialised team in the United Kingdom. Every project is fully client-specific, from colour and materials to aerodynamic setup and driving purpose. No two DLS Turbos are alike. Apollyon is not a show car. It is a personal interpretation of perfection, built without compromise, without marketing talk, without mass production.

AutoNext Verdict

The Singer DLS Turbo once again proves why Singer stands alone at the top. Where others combine retro design with modern technology, Singer redefines what a Porsche 911 can be, technically, emotionally and aesthetically.

This is not a car you compare to a modern 911 Turbo S. This is a car you compare to everything that ever had a steering wheel.
