With the Nevera R Founder’s Edition, Rimac once again pulls the boundaries of exclusivity tight. Not only because this version is limited to exactly ten examples worldwide, but above all because the concept goes beyond the car itself. The Founder’s Edition is a key to a closed universe in which owners are not just customers, but become part of the brand, the thinking and even the future of Rimac.

From order to experience: configuring with Mate Rimac himself

The journey does not start in a showroom, but at the Rimac Campus in Zagreb. There, owners sit down at the table with Mate Rimac, Design Director Frank Heyl and the entire design team. Using advanced V-RED visualisation software, colours, materials and finishes are adjusted live, until every detail matches the owner’s personality exactly.

This is bespoke work at the highest level: hand-stitched interiors, unique leathers, hand-painted details and even colours reproduced one-to-one from customers’ existing collections. No two Founder’s Editions are alike; each one tells the story of its owner.

Design with meaning, not loud statements

The base configuration of the Founder’s Edition is already striking in itself. A two-tone design with a sharp colour split along the full length of the car emphasises the architecture of the Nevera R and lowers the visual centre of gravity. The result is an aggressive, forward-leaning stance that remains timeless at the same time.

An ultra-thin central stripe runs along the roof (barely two millimetres at its narrowest point) with subtle references to Rimac’s cravat motif and circuit-board structures. Inside, we find embroidery marking three key moments in Rimac history: the garage years, the launch of the Concept_One and the world-record era of the Nevera. Even the asymmetric seat layout is a nod to Mate Rimac’s personal Nevera.

Access to the inner circle

Owning a Founder’s Edition means you are not buying a car, but membership of the Founder’s Club. That means, among other things, direct access to the headquarters of Bugatti Rimac, exclusive previews of future models, invitations to performance events and record attempts, and involvement in strategic and technical discussions with the R&D team. What exactly those privileges entail is deliberately kept vague and exclusive to the ten owners.

On top of that, Rimac provides specialised driver training by the test team that itself covered tens of thousands of kilometres in the Nevera and Nevera R. After months of manual assembly and finishing, each car is delivered personally by Mate Rimac.

Nevera R: from Hyper GT to Hyper Sportscar

The Founder’s Edition is based on the Nevera R, a further development of the original Nevera with a sharper focus on pure performance. With 2,107 hp, four individual electric motors and advanced torque vectoring, it rewrites the laws of acceleration and top speed. The figures are legendary by now, as are the 24 world records it set in a single year.

But more important than the performance is what this car symbolises: a company that started in a garage and today helps write the future of the car industry. The Founder’s Edition is Rimac’s way of sharing that journey with ten people who believed in it from the very beginning.
