Herbert Schnitzer, who with his brother Josef built Schnitzer Motorsport into the most successful BMW racing team in history, has died on his 85th birthday at his home in Freilassing. Schnitzer's victories include the 1999 Le Mans 24 Hours with the BMW V12 LMR, multiple touring car world titles, the 2012 DTM championship and repeated wins at the Nurburgring and Spa 24 Hours.

The Dodge Charger is coming back to Europe. And this time, it arrives with two very different personalities. On one side, there is the all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona, a battery-powered muscle car with standard all-wheel drive, serious performance numbers and the kind of attitude that does not usually belong in the European EV segment. On the other side, there are the petrol-powered SIXPACK models, using a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine for buyers who still want combustion in their muscle car.

A Koenigsegg One:1 is never just another auction car. But this one comes with more than rarity. The clear-carbon and China Pink Koenigsegg One:1 “JC”, chassis 7108, is heading to RM Sotheby’s Tegernsee Auction with an estimate of €8 million to €10 million. Together with Austrian luxury display specialist C SEED, Bugatti has revealed the C SEED BUGATTI N1 Super TV, a folding 4K MicroLED system available in 110-inch and 137-inch sizes. Toyota is bringing liquid hydrogen to Le Mans. Not as a concept sitting quietly under show lights. Not as a future promise buried in a presentation. But on track, at the Circuit de la Sarthe, with a real racing prototype and the sound of a hydrogen combustion engine echoing around Le Mans. The Toyota TR LH2 Racing Prototype will complete public demonstration laps during the 94th 24 Hours of Le Mans, running on Thursday 11 June at 12:50 and again on Saturday 13 June at 12:45.

BYD has been told to adjust or stop a Belgian advertisement for the Atto 3 EVO after a complaint over the phrase “ultra-fast charging”. And this is more interesting than a normal advertising dispute. Because the issue is not that BYD’s claim is completely wrong. The issue is that the claim was incomplete.
