Rob's Advice

Physics says a two-and-a-half-tonne SUV should not corner like this. The X6 M ignores that, using a twin-turbo V8 and clever all-wheel drive to shrink around you the harder you push. What really separates it from the X5 M is the sloping coupe roofline, which costs you a bit of boot space and rear headroom. Buy it over the X5 M only if that silhouette genuinely moves you, because everywhere else they are the same magnificent monster.
