Used Smart Fortwo

Nothing parks like a fortwo: at under 2.7 metres long it slots into gaps other cars have to drive past, and the rear-engined layout gives it a famously tight turning circle. The third generation, developed with Renault, came with 71 hp and 90 hp petrol engines until 2019; from 2020 it was sold only as the electric EQ fortwo with 82 hp and a 17.6 kWh battery, in coupé and cabrio form. The EQ has no DC fast charging, so its range is strictly for town and the suburbs, and the optional 22 kW on-board charger is worth looking for. Production ended in 2024 with no direct two-seat successor, so this is a used-only buy. Buy one if your life is mostly urban and parking is your daily battle.
