In terms of proportions the SEAL 6 DM-i Sedan is a fully fledged family and business car. With its long 2,790 mm wheelbase it offers generous room for five adults, with remarkable leg and headroom in the back. That makes it particularly suitable for anyone who often carries passengers or covers long distances. The 491-litre boot is ample for daily needs and grows to 1,370 litres when the rear bench is folded, ideal for travel, professional use or family outings.

Under the bonnet lies the heart of this BYD: Super Hybrid with DM (Dual Mode). In EV mode the wheels are driven fully electrically, which makes for a silent, immediate and exceptionally smooth driving experience. Even in HEV mode the driving feel remains electric, since the petrol engine mainly acts as a generator. Only when extra power is needed do the electric motor and combustion engine work together. As a result the SEAL 6 DM-i drives electrically most of the time, with up to 105 km of pure electric range (WLTP), and consumption stays exceptionally low with a weighted figure from 1.5 l/100 km.

In terms of performance the SEAL 6 DM-i Sedan is more than convincing too. Acceleration is brisk and linear, ideal for overtaking or motorway use, while the 180 km/h top speed makes the car perfectly suited to long European journeys. The chassis is tuned for comfort and stability, with a clear focus on calm and confidence at higher speeds.

Inside, the SEAL 6 DM-i Sedan breathes calm and quality. The interior design is inspired by ocean forms and combines soft lines with modern technology. At its centre sits a large, razor-sharp infotainment screen (up to 15.6 inch depending on the version), combined with a digital instrument panel. High-quality materials, comfortable seats with heating and ventilation (depending on the version) and a quiet cabin make every journey relaxed, even after hundreds of kilometres.

On the safety front the SEAL 6 DM-i Sedan is equipped with a complete package of driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, lane assist, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot detection and 360-degree cameras.
