The Maserati MCPURA is not a facelift, not an evolution to satisfy a marketing cycle and certainly not a cosmetic update of the MC20. This is Maserati dissecting, rethinking and redefining its own halo car, with one goal: to build the purest form of driving experience the brand can deliver today.

MCPURA stands for absolute focus. For connection. For a mechanical relationship between driver and machine that is becoming ever rarer in a world of electrification and digital filtering. This is Maserati before anything else.

Design: functional beauty without frills

Visually the MCPURA stays true to the iconic MC20 silhouette, but beneath the skin and in the details almost everything has been redrawn. The proportions remain low, wide and taut, but the surfaces are sharper, more technical and more deliberately shaped.

The front is dominated by a sharpened shark nose, a direct nod to Maserati's racing past. The new bumper (inspired by the GT2 Stradale) is less aggressive than the circuit model, but more aerodynamically efficient than ever. At the rear, a completely redesigned underside, combined with an optional oversized spoiler, provides extra downforce without disturbing the silhouette.

The new Lower Fascia, in Gloss Black as standard or optionally in carbon, is not an aesthetic choice but an aerodynamic one. Light reflection emphasises the shape and accentuates the airflows guided beneath and along the car.

Carbon monocoque: lightness as the foundation

As befits a true supercar, the MCPURA is built around a carbon-fibre monocoque, developed in collaboration with Dallara. This chassis forms the structural backbone of the car and combines extreme torsional rigidity with an exceptionally low weight.

With a kerb weight under 1,500 kg and a power-to-weight ratio of just 2.33 kg per hp, the MCPURA sits at the absolute top of the segment, not on paper but in driving feel.

Aerodynamics: developed, not invented

More than 2,000 hours of wind-tunnel testing and 1,000 CFD simulations underpin the MCPURA's aerodynamic balance. Maserati deliberately splits the car into two zones:

• The upper body, where design and airflow coincide without visible aero add-ons

• The underside, fully functional, with vortex generators, a profiled floor and a large diffuser

The result is stability at high speed, predictability in fast corners and confidence on the circuit, without visual excess.

Interior: luxury reduced to its essence

Step in through the iconic butterfly doors and you immediately notice that the MCPURA is not aiming for classic luxury but for performance luxury. Alcantara replaces leather at the crucial contact points: lighter, more grip and better able to withstand intensive use.

The new steering wheel (inspired by Maserati's GT2 racing programme) has a flattened top, an integrated start button and optional shift lights. Everything is designed to keep the driver in control, without distraction.

The cockpit is minimalist, but not bare. Every material, every texture and every button has a function.

Nettuno V6: the heart remains sacred

At the centre sits the by now legendary 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 Nettuno, fully developed and built in Modena. With 630 hp and 720 Nm, dry-sump lubrication and patented pre-chamber combustion technology (derived directly from Formula 1), this engine combines brute force with a unique mechanical character.

The throttle response is immediate, the soundtrack raw and authentic, and the power delivery linear and intense. This is not an engine you merely hear, this is an engine that talks back.
