A free over-the-air update gives the Volvo EX60, EX90 and ES90 four new cloud-based hazard alerts, covering large animals, pedestrians and cyclists, roadworks and crashes ahead. The warnings are shared beyond Volvo through the European Data for Road Safety framework, so other brands and traffic authorities can read them too.

Waymo will launch Europe's first regular driverless taxi service in Munich, with a commercial start targeted for the end of 2027. The first vehicles hit Bavarian streets within weeks, driven manually to build high-definition maps before autonomous testing begins. Approvals are still pending, and the fleet will be fully electric.

Porsche is selling MHP, its management and IT consultancy, to Tata Consultancy Services, and has signed a strategic AI partnership with the buyer covering engineering, manufacturing, operations and customer experience. Porsche has revealed the 911 Challenge, a new entry-level customer race car based on the 911 GT3. Belgian used-car retailer My Way, working with diagnostics specialist MOBA, has tested the batteries of 2,500 used electric and plug-in hybrid cars and found an average State of Health of 95.9 percent. Most capacity loss happens early, then stabilises, and even cars past 100,000 km generally stay above 90 percent. It is powerful reassurance for used-EV buyers worried about battery wear.
