LEGO reveals Formula 1 helmets of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton
07/03/2026
Formula 1 and LEGO have become a powerful combination in recent years.
With the start of the new F1 season, LEGO has unveiled two new display sets that will immediately catch the attention of fans of Scuderia Ferrari. Starting May 1, 2026, two new sets will join the LEGO Editions lineup: the helmets of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. Designed for Formula 1 enthusiasts and LEGO builders aged 14 and up, these sets clearly focus on detail and display value rather than playability.
Two iconic Ferrari helmets recreated in LEGO
Both sets follow the same philosophy: a detailed replica of the real Formula 1 helmet built from hundreds of LEGO bricks and presented on a display stand.
The Leclerc helmet appears in Ferrari’s iconic Rosso Corsa red, incorporating several recognizable details from the Monegasque driver’s real helmet. His race number 16 is clearly visible, and even personal tributes (such as the reference “Papa Jules") are integrated into the design.
The Hamilton helmet takes a different Ferrari signature color: Modena yellow. The model includes multiple graphic elements inspired by Hamilton’s real race helmet, including his famous race number 44.
One detail that collectors will appreciate: LEGO uses printed pieces instead of stickers. While this might sound minor, it significantly improves durability and gives the models a more premium finish.
Compact sets packed with detail
Although the sets are inspired by large-scale LEGO helmet models that appeared during the 2026 Formula 1 season opener in Melbourne, the retail versions are more compact and designed for home display. Key specifications include:
LEGO 43014 Charles Leclerc Helmet
886 pieces

price: €89.99
LEGO 43022 Lewis Hamilton Helmet

display stand with signature nameplate

Both sets will be available starting May 1, 2026, with pre-orders already open through the official LEGO store.
LEGO expands its Formula 1 universe
These Ferrari helmet models appear to be only the beginning of a broader LEGO Editions Formula 1 series.
According to various reports, LEGO is also planning future helmet sets based on other legendary drivers, including Max Verstappen, Ayrton Senna, and Fernando Alonso.
If that happens, the concept could evolve into a full collector series of Formula 1 helmets, appealing to both motorsport fans and LEGO collectors.
AutoNext Take: a clever move from LEGO
From a marketing perspective, the timing could hardly be better. Formula 1 has never been more globally popular, Ferrari currently has two of the biggest names on the grid, and LEGO knows that F1 fans love collectible memorabilia.
At €89.99, these sets are also smartly positioned: premium enough to feel like a serious display model, yet accessible to a broad audience of fans. The real question, therefore, isn’t whether these sets will sell. The real question is which helmet LEGO will release next.
