To celebrate 85 years of Jeep, the Avenger gets a special 85th Anniversary Edition.

The new Jeep Avenger gets a fresher face, more technology, improved interior materials and a special 85th Anniversary Edition to celebrate 85 years of Jeep. It remains compact, still clearly designed for Europe, and still available with multiple electrified powertrains: e-Hybrid, Full Electric and 4xe Hybrid.

A sharper front end and illuminated Jeep identity

The biggest visual update is at the front. The seven-slot grille remains central to the Avenger’s identity, but it now becomes more expressive thanks to LED lighting on higher trims. Inspired by the new Compass, the illuminated grille makes the Avenger more recognisable at night and brings it closer to Jeep’s wider design language.

The bumpers have also been redesigned, with added protection elements and a more robust look. Jeep’s “design follows function” philosophy remains visible through the recessed headlights, protective cladding and molded-in-colour skidplates that help reduce damage from small urban knocks or light off-road use.

There are new 17- and 18-inch alloy wheel designs, new centre caps with a stylised Willys profile and two new colours: Forest and Bamboo, joining Granite, Ruby, Snow, Storm and Volcano.

Better materials inside

Jeep has focused on perceived quality, with softer door panels, a padded lower dashboard insert and new premium fabric/vinyl upholstery for Altitude and Summit trims. The 4xe version gets a new green interior using more washable and wear-resistant materials, which makes sense for the most adventure-focused version.

Standard equipment includes a 10.25-inch Uconnect infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air updates, automatic climate control, keyless start, cruise control and full-LED headlights.

The Avenger also keeps its practical side, with up to 380 litres of boot space and up to 34 litres of interior storage.

e-Hybrid, Electric or 4xe: Jeep lets the customer choose

Jeep is keeping the Avenger flexible. The e-Hybrid combines a turbo petrol engine with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, an integrated electric motor and a 48V battery. It can drive fully electric for short distances at speeds up to 30 km/h.

The Full Electric version uses a 156 hp electric motor and a 54 kWh battery, offering up to 400 km WLTP range. It can charge at up to 100 kW DC and 11 kW AC.

The 4xe Hybrid is the most Jeep-like version. It produces 145 hp, uses electrified all-wheel drive and can send up to 1,900 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. Jeep says it can climb gradients of up to 40% on gravel and up to 20% even when the front axle has no grip.

All versions keep Jeep’s off-road basics, with up to 210 mm of ground clearance, Hill Descent Control and Selec-Terrain.

85th Anniversary Edition: gold details and tartan touches

To celebrate 85 years of Jeep, the Avenger also gets a special 85th Anniversary Edition. It comes with specific badges, gold-finished bumpers and wheels, a tartan bonnet graphic and “85 Years of Adventure” details. Inside, there are tartan fabric seats, 85th Anniversary logos and gold stitching on the seats and dashboard.

It is based on the Altitude trim, or Upland for the 4xe version, and includes strong equipment such as Matrix LED headlights, LED fog lights and the 360° camera.

AutoNext Take

The original concept was already strong: compact dimensions, European development, recognisable Jeep styling and enough capability to feel different from the usual small crossover crowd. This update improves the areas that matter: lighting, cameras, interior quality, design presence and powertrain choice.

The Avenger is a Jeep for Europe: small enough for cities, efficient enough for daily life, and just rugged enough to feel like it belongs to the brand. With the facelift, it feels more complete. And at €34,995, with up to 8 years warranty, that makes it a very relevant compact SUV.
