Porsche 911 GT3 gets new Manthey Kit
The Porsche 911 GT3 has for years been the benchmark for anyone who won't compromise on track days. But some customers simply want… more. More downforce. More confidence. More lap time. For them, there's the new Manthey Kit, and it lifts the GT3 (992.2) to a level that even the Weissach package can't match.
The result? A Nürburgring time of 6:52.981, a full 2.7 seconds faster than the previous generation with the Manthey upgrade. And that with conditions far from ideal.
More downforce than some GT3 Cup cars
The GT3 is already known for serious aerodynamics as standard, but Manthey has redesigned the entire package as if the model were entering the wind tunnel for the first time.
Key upgrades:
Fully continuous flat undertray
Turning vanes extended to 1.5 metres (for more efficient airflow)
New front lip (+12 mm forward)
New diffuser fins at the rear
Larger, inward-folded end plates
Gurney flap on the wider swan-neck rear wing
Carbon aero discs on the rear wheels for less turbulence
The result:
355 kg of downforce in ‘road mode’
540 kg of downforce in ‘circuit mode’ at 285 km/h (!)
And all that without extra drag. A rare combination.
Four-way coilovers & hardcore brake hardware
The new four-way adjustable Manthey coilover lets you adjust rebound and compression without tools. The higher downforce called for revised spring rates (+10% at the front axle) for more stability and maximum kerb control.
Also included:
Optional forged wheels (20”/21”) – together 6 kg lighter
Steel-braided brake lines as standard
Racing brake pads for PCCB optional
Together it increases mechanical grip in extreme conditions and the driver's confidence when the GT3 is pushed to its limit.
Manthey details: because the eye wants lap times too
For anyone who wants a bit more visual sharpness:
Illuminated Manthey door sills
LED door projectors
Manthey sticker sets
Colours for aero discs
Tow straps in red, black or yellow
Carbon air intakes and outlets
Small details, big circuit credibility.
6:52.981 on the ‘Ring, but it can go even faster
Reigning DTM champion Ayhancan Güven set a certified time of 6:52.981 on the Nordschleife. On Michelin Cup 2 R tyres and full Manthey spec.
And he was clear:
“Because of the extra downforce, the GT3 feels even more predictable. Unfortunately the track was partly wet, a dry run could have been a few seconds faster.”
Manthey CEO Nicolas Raeder confirms it:
“We'll be back. In better conditions, we'll show what this kit can really do.”
Conclusion
The 911 GT3 Manthey Kit is no tuning job, no cosmetic upgrade, and no trinket. It's a full-fledged performance evolution, developed by the same people who dominate the Nürburgring year after year.
Where the standard GT3 is a brilliant sports car, the Manthey version becomes a semi-race car with type approval.
More aero. More grip. More confidence. More lap time.
