Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino was founded in 1899 by a group of Turin investors led by Giovanni Agnelli, and within a generation it had put Italy on wheels. The Topolino of 1936, the Nuova 500 of 1957 and the Panda of 1980 each did the same thing: make a clever, affordable small car that an entire country could love.

That instinct for small cars with big personality defined the brand. The 2007 revival of the 500 turned a piece of 1950s nostalgia into a global fashion object, and the Panda quietly became one of Europe's best-selling cars for decades, prized by Italians for its honesty and its ability to survive almost anything.

Today FIAT is the volume heart of Stellantis. The electric 500e leads the way, the Grande Panda brings the family formula to a new generation with both electric and hybrid power, and the 600 and Topolino fill the gaps. The mission has not changed since 1899: la dolce vita, made accessible.
