Rob's Advice
Renault has quietly built one of the most convincing electric hatchbacks around, and it is called the Megane E-Tech. It looks sharp without shouting, the interior feels a class above what you expect at the price, and the OpenR setup with Google built in is genuinely one of the better systems out there. Range and charging are competitive rather than class-leading, so anyone doing regular long hauls should check the numbers carefully, but for daily use it is polished and easy to live with. This is the Renault I would recommend to someone leaving a Golf or Focus and wondering whether electric can still feel like a proper car.
