The monthly payment is an output, not a price. Stretch the term or leave a lump sum at the end and almost any car can be made to fit a budget, while the credit quietly costs twice as much. The APR and the total amount payable are printed on the same sheet, and they are the two figures that settle it.

Air conditioning is a dehumidifier that happens to make cold air, which is why it clears a fogged windscreen faster than heat and why a clear puddle under a parked car is normal. Dump the hot air out before you switch to recirculation, dry the system with the fan before you park, and run it for ten minutes every month, winter included, so the compressor stays lubricated.

Two very different systems sit behind the same warning symbol, and the cheaper one cannot see all four tyres going soft together.
