Porsche Macan Turbo Concept Lago & Frauscher x Porsche 790 Spectre

Porsche does it again. Not with yet another power record or Nürburgring time, but with something that says just as much about where the brand stands today.

At boot Düsseldorf 2026, Porsche and Austrian boat builder Frauscher Boats show how far electrification, design and personalisation already reach today. Not only on the road, but also... on the water. At the heart of this story are two objects that mirror each other down to the smallest detail: the Frauscher x Porsche 790 Spectre, a fully electric sports boat built around Porsche technology, and the Porsche Macan Turbo Concept Lago, an extremely refined design study that bridges automotive and maritime luxury.

From Macan to motorboat: one electric heart

The new Frauscher x Porsche 790 Spectre is not an existing boat with an electric motor simply dropped in. On the contrary. Just as Porsche designed its Taycan, Macan and Cayenne Electric as EVs from the ground up, Frauscher developed this boat entirely around the electric drivetrain of the Porsche Macan.

At its core is the same high-voltage architecture: a 100 kWh battery, a 400 kW PSM electric motor and the accompanying power electronics. The boat measures 7.97 metres, is lighter, shorter and narrower than earlier Frauscher models and gained a completely new hull that works optimally with the electric platform.

The result is a sports boat that is not only quiet, powerful and efficient, but also aims to set a benchmark in electric boating, just as Porsche has already done on the road.

Porsche design DNA, but on the water

You can see immediately that this is a Porsche project. Not through badges alone, but through proportions, lines and details. The 790 Spectre breathes the same sporty precision as a Macan or Taycan. And to reinforce that link, Porsche simultaneously reveals the Porsche Macan Turbo Concept Lago.

This concept car was fully developed by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and is not a show car “for show”. Every detail is deliberately chosen to strengthen the visual and material bond between boat and SUV.

The paint is called Darkteal Metallic, from Porsche’s Paint to Sample programme. Both the boat and the Macan get exactly the same shade, with the boat even featuring an 11-layer paint build, unheard of in the maritime world. Sideblades, lettering and finish are matched, right down to the keys.

Interior: Porsche ergonomics meet maritime luxury

Inside, the story gets even stronger. The Frauscher 790 Spectre does not feel like a classic boat, but like a Porsche cockpit at sea. The start button is to the left of the wheel, just as in a 911. The steering wheel is trimmed in original Porsche leatherette and carries the Porsche crest. Even the five round dials are a direct nod to Zuffenhausen.

At the same time, Frauscher brings its own maritime know-how: water-resistant fabrics, real wood and a smart layout make the boat a luxurious yet functional environment.

That interplay works the other way around too. The Macan Turbo Concept Lago gets elements you would normally expect only on a yacht. Both boot spaces are lined with yacht-style real wood, the door panels and floor mats look like a ship’s deck, and where the Sport Chrono clock would be sits... a compass.

Even the seats are trimmed in marine-grade fabric, combined with Crayon leather, Night Green contrast stitching and Crayon leather air vents. It is extravagant, but finished to the exact Porsche millimetre.

Personalisation without limits

What stands out most here: Porsche and Frauscher treat personalisation not as an extra, but as the core of the product. Like a Porsche, the 790 Spectre can be fully bespoke, including individual paints and finishes. The Macan Turbo Concept Lago shows what is possible through Sonderwunsch and Exclusive Manufaktur, without commercial limits.

According to Porsche, this is exactly where E-Performance needs to go today: not only efficient and fast, but emotional, personal and coherent across different domains.

And as if that were not enough: Cayenne Electric

As if the Macan and the boat did not draw enough attention, the Porsche Cayenne Electric also celebrates its German public debut in Düsseldorf. In Turbo guise, Porsche’s second fully electric SUV delivers up to 850 kW (1,156 hp) and can, depending on configuration, tow up to 3.5 tonnes.

Coincidence? Of course not. Porsche explicitly positions the Cayenne Electric as the perfect tow car for a boat trailer. The message is clear: this is an electric ecosystem, not a standalone product.
