A Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider made of 554,767 LEGO bricks just appeared
28/03/2026
This time, the latest Ferrari attraction isn’t built in Maranello.
Instead, it’s made from more than half a million LEGO bricks. A spectacular life-size LEGO version of the Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider has just been unveiled at LEGOLAND New York Resort to celebrate the opening of a new Ferrari-themed attraction. And the result is something rather extraordinary.
The largest LEGO Ferrari ever built
The Rosso Corsa coloured model isn’t just another LEGO display piece. It is officially the largest LEGO Ferrari ever constructed, built entirely from 554,767 bricks. The project required more than 2,300 hours of work from LEGO Master Model Builders and resulted in a creation weighing almost 1,800 kilograms.
At first glance, the car looks almost identical to the real thing. The proportions are correct, the stance is unmistakably Ferrari and the details are surprisingly authentic.
From the signature Ferrari steering wheel with the iconic manettino switch to the functional headlights and detailed brake calipers, the model goes far beyond what most people expect from a LEGO build. Even the licence plate is recreated using carefully arranged LEGO bricks.
Yes, you can actually sit inside
Perhaps the most impressive part of the project is its interactive nature. Visitors are invited to open the doors, climb inside the cabin and sit behind the wheel of the brick-built Ferrari.
The interior features a crema-coloured design that closely resembles the real Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider, turning the sculpture into something closer to an immersive installation than a traditional display model. It’s not every day you get the chance to sit inside a Ferrari, even if this one is made entirely from LEGO.
A new Ferrari experience at LEGOLAND
The world-record build welcomes visitors to the new Ferrari Build & Race experience, a large themed attraction within the 150-acre LEGOLAND New York Resort. The experience is divided into several zones designed to bring Ferrari’s racing DNA to life.
In the Build & Test area, visitors can create their own Ferrari-inspired LEGO cars and test them on ramps before competing against other builders.
The Race Track zone then takes things into the digital world, where LEGO cars are scanned and raced virtually on a digital recreation of Ferrari’s legendary Fiorano Circuit.
For younger visitors, a dedicated DUPLO zone introduces the same creative concept using larger bricks designed for smaller hands.
AutoNext Take
Interestingly, projects like this life-size Ferrari sculpture show how automotive culture increasingly overlaps with entertainment, design and interactive experiences. Brands like Ferrari understand that engaging future enthusiasts often begins long before someone is old enough to drive.
Which brings us to a small reminder for our AutoNext readers. If you enjoy the idea of high-performance cars built from LEGO, you might want to check out our AutoNext giveaway, where you can win a LEGO Speed Champions Audi F1 Race Car.
It might not be a 1:1 scale Ferrari made from half a million bricks… But it will still look very good on your desk.
