Some cars don’t need to be tested to be understood.
Some cars are simply felt.
And for years now, the Alpine A110 has belonged firmly in that category.

Every single time, regardless of which version we’re handed, we fall in love all over again. Completely. The A110 R Turini is no exception. Quite the opposite. It pulls us even deeper into the rabbit hole of everything that makes Alpine so distinctive.

It starts with the way it looks. The Turini appears as if it has just rolled straight out of a rally service park: hardcore, light, raw, yet still elegant. The carbon Sabelt bucket seats, the near excess of Alcantara inside, and outside the unmistakable fingerprint of carbon wherever you look. It is pure drama, but delivered with restraint and intent. The swan‑neck rear wing completes the picture. Everything fits. Everything radiates enjoyment.

Light, alive and refreshingly honest

Under the engine cover sits the familiar 1.8‑litre turbocharged engine producing 300 hp, identical to the A110 R. On paper, not outrageous. In reality, more than enough. Perfect, even. Because with a curb weight of just 1.102 kg, power is no longer a topic of debate.

We’ve been saying it for years. We would rather have 300 hp that you can fully use every day than 600 hp you dare to exploit once a month. The Turini embodies that philosophy perfectly: maximum enjoyment, maximum confidence, maximum usability.

Turini as a nod to rally history

The name gives it away immediately. A clear reference to the legendary Col de Turini, where rally history was written and where the original A110 cemented its reputation forever.

The A110 R Turini shares the extreme carbon exterior with the A110 R, but the difference lies in the chassis tuning:

  • less extreme and less rigid than the R

  • less circuit‑focused

  • optimised for B‑roads, mountain passes and fast drives that raise your heart rate without punishing your body

This is Alpine effectively saying: we know you’re not on track every weekend, so here is the ultimate A110 for people who love driving hard on great roads.

And that is exactly what makes the Turini so brilliant in its simplicity.

Comfort you don’t expect

For all its visual aggression, lightness and focus, the reality still manages to surprise. The A110 family has always been impressively comfortable, but the Turini borders on the unreal. Despite the hardcore bucket seats and ultra‑light construction, this car seems to absorb imperfections before you even register them.

That sense of confidence is rare.
That harmony between driver, chassis and engine is even rarer.

You turn in, immediately feel what the car is doing, know exactly where the grip is, and understand precisely how far you can push. The Turini is predictable, playful and remarkably forgiving. Hard in, committed through, clean out. Every corner feels like a reward.

The essence of driving in 2025

We are the first to appreciate big power figures, but the A110 R Turini brings you back to the basics. Real enjoyment lives in the corners, not on the straights. It is about momentum, balance and feedback. And the Alpine delivers all of that in abundance.

The 7‑speed DCT remains a perfect match. Fast, intuitive and entirely in tune with the car’s character. Yes, a manual gearbox would have sounded appealing on paper, but in practice, you don’t miss it. The drivetrain works so seamlessly with the chassis that the whole package simply makes sense.

This is how driving is meant to feel.
Pure. Mechanical. Real.

The last of its kind

If you want one, don’t wait too long. Alpine is currently building the final combustion‑engine versions of the A110. What comes next will be electric, or perhaps hybrid. And no matter how good those cars may be, this kind of analogue driving pleasure will not return.

We can’t predict the future, but one thing is certain. Alpine has never disappointed. The A110 R Turini may well be their most complete interpretation yet, and possibly their last.

Conclusion

The Alpine A110 R Turini is not a car you buy with your head.
It is one you buy with your heart.

It looks like pure adrenaline.
It drives like pure precision.
It feels like pure passion.

And in a world that is becoming heavier, more digital and increasingly sterile, Alpine proves that essence still matters.

This is not just a car.
It is an experience.
