The 5-door Cooper is the MINI that grew up just enough to be useful. You get the same cheeky looks and eager handling as the three-door, plus rear doors and a bit more room that make daily family duty far less of a squeeze. It costs a little more and loses a touch of the pure, stubby three-door cuteness, but it's the version I'd steer most real buyers toward. If you love the idea of a MINI but need to carry people regularly, this is the sweet spot.
