The Trafic SpaceClass is a shuttle first and a car second. Renault takes the Trafic van, adds up to eight proper seats on rails so you can slide or lift them out, and trims and insulates it enough to make a long airport run bearable. Very little else moves eight adults and their luggage with this little fuss. Be honest about what you are buying, though: it is diesel only, 150 hp or 170 hp, it drives like the van underneath it, and at close to €60,000 before options it is not a cheap way to carry a family. Buy it if you move people and bags regularly, for work or for a big household. If what you really want is a family car, a Grand Kangoo or an Espace will be easier to live with.
