Rezvani's Beast X is a Corvette you would never recognise, and just five will exist

The Rezvani Beast X is a Chevrolet Corvette C8 E-Ray buried under wild, concept-car bodywork with scissor doors and a roof snorkel. Rezvani claims a combined 1,560 hp and will build only five, with pricing yet to be announced. It is the purest example of Rezvani's real business: selling drama, rarity and disguise rather than genuine re-engineering.

Nissan drove a Qashqai 1,980 km on a single tank without charging once

Nissan has set a Guinness World Record by driving a Qashqai e-Power 1,980 km on a single tank, without refuelling or recharging, from Bogota to Colombia's Caribbean coast. That works out to about 2.8 litres per 100 km, though real-world economy is nearer 5. The bigger story is the irony: the company that launched the modern EV with the Leaf is now flexing a car whose whole appeal is never needing to charge.

It offers up to 400 hp, a 57.7 kWh battery and launches in Australia this year. A German tuner's 911 once out-ran the Bugatti Veyron, and one is now for sale

The 9ff GT9 is one of the wildest cars ever built on a Porsche 911, a mid-engined conversion of a 997 designed to beat the Bugatti Veyron. The range-topping GT9-R made around 1,120 hp and hit roughly 414 km/h, edging past the Veyron, with only about 20 built. Now a rare Gulf-liveried GT9 Clubsport, with 750 hp and a 364 km/h top speed, is heading to auction on Collecting Cars.
