The 24 Hours of Spa is back with 70 GT3 cars and a stacked entry list
70 cars, one of the world's hardest circuits, and a full day of racing
The biggest GT race on the planet is about to light up the Ardennes. The 78th CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa takes place on 27 and 28 June, with a staggering 70 GT3 cars from 10 manufacturers lining up at Spa-Francorchamps. For Belgian fans especially, it is the highlight of the racing year.
Ten manufacturers, Porsche in force
The 70-car grid is spread across 10 brands, and Porsche dominates the numbers with 16 entries. Mercedes-AMG follows with 11, then BMW, Ferrari and McLaren on eight apiece, Aston Martin with seven and Audi with six. Corvette, Ford and Lamborghini each field two cars. It is a remarkable cross-section of GT3 machinery, and the depth of competition is part of what makes Spa such a brutal test.
Lamborghini defends with a new weapon
Lamborghini arrives as the defending winner, and it does so with fresh metal: the new Temerario GT3 will make its 24-hour race debut here. Taking an unproven car into the most demanding endurance event on the GT calendar is a gamble, but a strong result at Spa would instantly establish the Temerario's credentials. Defending champions Mirko Bortolotti, Jordan Pepper and Luca Engstler are among those chasing back-to-back glory.
A grid full of stars
Drivers from 45 nations are entered, with Britain supplying the most at 35 and home nation Belgium fielding 20. The star quality is exceptional. Two-time winner Jules Gounon lines up for Verstappen Racing, while the entry also features motorcycle great Valentino Rossi, now a serious GT racer, and Arthur Leclerc, brother of the Ferrari Formula 1 driver. That mix of specialists, champions and crossover names is exactly what gives Spa its broad appeal.
Five classes and a festival
The race is split into five classes, Pro, Gold Cup, Silver Cup, Bronze Cup and Pro-Am, separated by driver experience rather than car specification, which keeps the racing close throughout the field. Around the track, the event has grown into a five-day festival blending racing with supercar displays, music and live sets from the likes of Dimitri Vegas. A free worldwide livestream runs on the GT World YouTube channel in seven languages from Thursday's second practice.
AutoNext Take
There is no GT race quite like Spa, and a 70-car entry across 10 manufacturers shows the format is in rude health. The genius of it is the class structure: gentleman drivers sharing the same unforgiving track as full professionals, all weekend, through the Ardennes weather that can change everything in a single lap. For Belgian motorsport fans this is the one to be at, and with Lamborghini gambling on a brand-new car and a grid this deep, the 2026 edition has all the ingredients for a classic. Clear your weekend.
