Novitec Ferrari Daytona SP3: even more emotion for Ferrari’s last pure V12
17/02/2026
Some cars you do not touch. Not because you cannot, but because you should not.
The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is one of those cars. And yet, the German tuner Novitec felt there was still room for more involvement. Not necessarily more numbers. But more emotion.

More breathing room for Ferrari’s greatest V12 ever
Beneath the sculptural bodywork sits Ferrari’s most powerful naturally aspirated V12 ever fitted to a production car: a 6.5‑liter mid‑mounted V12. Even in standard form it already delivers 840+ hp, screaming deep into the upper reaches of the rev range.
Novitec approaches the SP3 not brutally, but surgically. A completely newly developed high‑performance exhaust system with metal catalysts reduces back pressure and optimises exhaust gas flow. The result: +28 hp, bringing total output to 868 hp (638 kW). Not an absurd leap, but a sharper throttle response and an even more vivid character.
More important than the power gain is the sound. Electronically controlled exhaust valves allow the driver to switch between relatively restrained and full‑on race‑inspired V12 fury. For those who want to go all the way, the entire system can even be finished in 999 fine gold, not for show, but for improved heat dissipation. Functional. Over the top. Exactly what you expect at this level.
Design: respect for the original
Novitec leaves the iconic lines of the SP3 largely untouched. No exaggerated body kits or visual drama. The only visible change comes from new forged Vossen wheels.
20‑inch at the front, 21‑inch at the rear. A staggered setup that further emphasises the wedge shape of the open two‑seater. The NF10 wheels combine lightweight construction with centre‑lock styling and were developed specifically for this car.
Tyre sizes of 265/30 ZR20 at the front and 345/30 ZR21 at the rear ensure maximum traction and high‑speed stability.
Subtle? Relatively. Effective? Absolutely.
A Dutch first
Notably, this is the first Novitec‑modified Daytona SP3 in the world, and it belongs to a Dutch collector. That is exceptional, as Icona models are rarely tuned. Owners often fear potential value loss.
A different choice was made here. Not out of necessity, but out of passion. And honestly? With a naturally aspirated V12 that may soon become a closed chapter in Ferrari’s history, we understand it completely.
Why this matters
Ferrari still builds V12s today, but the landscape is changing. Electrification is reality. The successor to the LaFerrari already adopted a V6 hybrid configuration.
The Daytona SP3 is therefore one of the last pure, unfiltered V12 moments to come out of Maranello. And that is precisely why this is not about an extra 28 hp. It is about sound. Mechanical purity. That raw, linear build‑up toward 8,000+ rpm.
Novitec understands that. This is not tuning to chase headline numbers. This is tuning to enhance feeling. And for that, we can only have respect.
