2025 BMW M5 Touring (G99)
Op papier lijkt het bijna absurd: 727 pk, 1.000 Nm, M xDrive met 4WD, 4WD Sport én 2WD. Alsof BMW dacht: “Waarom kiezen tussen efficiëntie en hooligan-gedrag als je beide kunt hebben?” En eerlijk, dat is exact waarom we stiekem zo verliefd blijven op de M5. Altijd al, elke generatie opnieuw.
Als de R5 het retro-electric statement van Renault is, dan voelt de nieuwe R4 E-Tech als de volwassen, verfijnde grote broer. Ja, op papier lijken ze op elkaar maar in de praktijk zijn de verschillen te groot om te negeren. Voor ons is de R4 geen betere R5. Maar hij is misschien wel de meest complete van beide. En meer nog: een serieuze kanshebber voor Car of the Year 2026.
Can one model replace two? According to Mercedes-Benz, it sure can, as the CLE has replaced both the C- and E-Class Coupe. But can the CLE capture the spirit of both of their entry-level AMG models?
