Bentley introduces the Virtuoso Collection: a new zenith for in-car audio
03/04/2026
Bentley is redefining what a premium in-car audio experience can be.
At the heart of the collection lies the new “Naim for Mulliner” sound system, developed as the pinnacle of Bentley’s long-standing collaboration with Naim Audio. Originally engineered for the coachbuilt Bentley Batur, where it carried an option price of roughly £25,000, the system now arrives across a limited series of Bentley models that combine sound engineering with bespoke craftsmanship.
The new pinnacle of Bentley’s in-car audio
Bentley and Naim have been working together for more than fifteen years, but the Virtuoso Collection represents the most ambitious step yet in their partnership.
The Naim for Mulliner system uses 18 speakers, including upgraded drivers derived from the Batur program. The aim is simple but difficult to achieve: deliver exceptional clarity across the entire frequency spectrum without sacrificing detail or warmth.
Working closely with Dolby Laboratories, Bentley has integrated Dolby Atmos® technology into the system. This allows sound to move freely in a multi-dimensional environment, creating an immersive listening experience where instruments and voices feel spatially placed around the cabin.
Complementing this is Fraunhofer Symphoria, an advanced rendering technology designed specifically for automotive environments. By carefully tuning the acoustic profile of each model, Bentley’s audio engineers have created a broad sound stage with precisely balanced surround sound for every passenger.
Design themes inspired by music
Champagne Gold accents appear throughout the exterior and cabin, from the winged Bentley badges and exhaust tips to the speaker grilles and even the car key itself. Upon entering the vehicle, occupants are greeted with a bespoke Virtuoso welcome animation, reinforcing the idea that the experience is carefully orchestrated.
The interior design language also includes radial embroidery patterns inspired by sound waves, echoing the rhythm of music throughout the cabin. Customers can choose between three curated themes.
Soprano features Linen and Gravity Grey leather combined with Portland Dinamica fabric and Open Pore Crown Cut Walnut veneer, creating a light and elegant atmosphere.
Tenor introduces Stratos and Brunel leather with Ceramic Glaze Dinamica and Piano Gravity Grey veneer for a balanced and sophisticated aesthetic.
Bass, the most dramatic theme, pairs Gravity Grey and Beluga hides with Beluga Dinamica and Open Pore Black Crown Cut Walnut veneer.
For those seeking even greater exclusivity, Bentley’s Bentley Mulliner offers a full co-creation process allowing customers to personalise their Virtuoso Collection car further.
Available across Bentley’s grand touring lineup
The Virtuoso Collection will be available across three Bentley models:
Bentley Continental GT
Bentley Continental GTC
Bentley Bentayga
The Bentley Flying Spur will follow later this year. Pricing has not yet been announced, but given the system’s origins in the coachbuilt Batur, exclusivity will undoubtedly remain a defining element.
AutoNext Take
In an era where electric powertrains are becoming quieter and cabins more isolated, the acoustic environment of a car becomes increasingly important. For a brand like Bentley, turning the cabin into a meticulously tuned listening room may prove just as important as horsepower figures.
The Virtuoso Collection therefore feels less like a special edition and more like a glimpse into the future of luxury automotive design.
