Jon Olsson is back: the ski-box legend returns with a 1,035-hp Audi RS6 monster
30/03/2026
After years of increasingly wild builds, Jon Olsson is back with another creation.
If you’ve been following automotive internet culture over the last decade, one name inevitably pops up when talking about outrageous car builds: Jon Olsson. The former professional freestyle skier turned entrepreneur has built a reputation not just for owning exotic cars, but for transforming them into something completely unexpected. Supercars with ski boxes. Track machines driven through snowstorms. Rally-style Rolls-Royces.
The return of the crazy RS6
The latest RS6 build was developed in collaboration with German tuner MMS Powerdivision. For now, the car runs a relatively “mild” tune of around 1,000 horsepower. Because Olsson has already confirmed that this is only the beginning. Once additional parts arrive, the car is expected to reach around 1,250 horsepower, pushing the RS6 firmly into hypercar territory.
Underneath, the C8 RS6 already starts with a formidable base: a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and Quattro all-wheel drive. But in typical Olsson fashion, the numbers alone are only part of the story.
A build that goes far beyond horsepower
Like many of Jon Olsson’s previous cars, the new RS6 focuses as much on visual identity and lifestyle functionality as on performance. The exterior features an extreme custom wrap created by WrapZone, continuing Olsson’s tradition of turning everyday supercars into instantly recognizable machines.
Inside, the car has been completely redesigned by PSS Sattlerei. The cabin now includes:
a fully redone interior layout
an additional LED display for the passenger
bespoke materials and lighting elements
But the most surprising detail is perhaps the most personal one. The car features suede racing-inspired child seats, designed together with Axkid and produced as a limited edition. Olsson joked that with this setup, he can now “finally have kids and a sick looking car.”
Why Jon Olsson’s cars became internet legends
For those unfamiliar with Olsson’s automotive history, this new RS6 is simply the latest chapter in a long series of outrageous builds. Some of the most famous include:
a Audi RS6 DTM producing nearly 1,000 horsepower
a Rolls-Royce Wraith converted into an 810-hp rally machine
multiple Lamborghini Huracán and Lamborghini Gallardo builds fitted with ski boxes
a Mercedes G500 4x4² converted into a convertible
One of his most extreme creations was the Rebellion R2K, a Lamborghini-powered track monster weighing less than 1,000 kg.
What made Olsson’s builds unique was not just their power figures. It was the way he actually used them, driving supercars in winter conditions, road-tripping them across Europe, and even entering rallies like Gumball 3000.
AutoNext Take
We recently wrote about Jon Olsson again following the purchase of his latest Lamborghini in the Netherlands. But the return of a heavily modified RS6 feels almost nostalgic.
Because long before social media was full of extreme builds, Olsson was already redefining what a car enthusiast could do with a performance car. While today’s hypercars often live in climate-controlled garages, Olsson’s philosophy was always different: Use them. Modify them. Drive them everywhere.
