Novitec just gave the Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider a whole new voice
Every carbon panel, wheel, and exhaust valve on this Novitec kit is new. The horsepower number printed on the spec sheet is not
Novitec has extended its Ferrari 12Cilindri tuning programme to the Spider, the convertible version with the electrically retractable hardtop, with a full exposed-carbon aerodynamic kit, new forged wheels developed with Vossen, lowered sport springs, and a reworked exhaust system with steering wheel control over the sound. The naturally aspirated V12 underneath stays exactly as Ferrari built it.
A body kit that actually does something
The carbon package covers a front lip and spoiler, attachments for the side air intakes, a cover between the headlights, hood vent trim, and engine bay lining visible with the bonnet up. At the rear, a three-piece spoiler lip pairs with a matching diffuser, side sills, and mirror caps, alongside a Spider-specific ducktail-style spoiler and unique B-pillar caps that the coupe does not get.
New wheels, lower stance
The centrepiece is the new NF12 forged wheel, developed with Vossen and shown for the first time on the Spider, with a five-spoke Y-shaped design and a centrelock-style hub cover. The car rides on 10Jx21 wheels with 275/35 ZR21 tyres up front and 12Jx22 wheels with 325/30 ZR22 tyres at the rear, dropped 30 mm closer to the road by a set of sport springs.
An exhaust you can tune from the steering wheel
Novitec's exhaust system is available in stainless steel or Formula 1-grade Inconel, with an optional 999 fine gold coating for better heat dissipation, and tailpipes finished in matte black or gold. A Switchtronic control module lets the driver switch the valves between a subtle and a properly sporty note directly through the Manettino dial, with insulated sport catalysts and a race version also on the options list.
The engine Novitec left alone
Under all of that sits the same naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 from Ferrari's F140 family, the same lineage that powered the 812 Superfast and the Enzo, rated at 830 hp and 678 Nm. Novitec has not mentioned any tune, so treat the output as unchanged. The 12Cilindri already resisted the hybrid path Ferrari took with the SF90 and 296 GTB, and this kit does not second-guess that decision, it just gives the engine a better soundtrack, the same restraint Novitec showed on the Novitec Ferrari Daytona SP3.
Price and who this is actually for
Novitec has not disclosed pricing for the kit. The standard 12Cilindri Spider itself starts above 510,000 dollars in the US, roughly 50,000 dollars more than the coupe, a figure specific to that market rather than European pricing.
AutoNext Take
Leaving the V12 untouched while rebuilding almost everything around it is the right call on a car whose entire appeal is a naturally aspirated engine that revs like nothing else on sale. Piling on fake horsepower claims would have missed the point of what makes a 12Cilindri worth owning in the first place.
None of this comes with a price tag, and a kit this comprehensive, wheels, aero, suspension, and an exhaust with its own steering wheel controls, is not going to be cheap on a car that already starts past half a million dollars. This was never going to be an impulse purchase, and Novitec knows exactly who is still going to order one anyway.
