Lamborghini throws the Miura a 60th birthday party, and invites only 99 guests

Sixty years after the Miura, Lamborghini built a tribute car and left the engine completely alone

Lamborghini unveiled the Revuelto Miura 60 Homage at its Lounge during Monterey Car Week, a 99-unit special edition marking six decades since the Miura's debut. Every mechanical component carries straight over from the standard Revuelto, 1,015 hp combined, 807 Nm, the same 6.5-litre V12 and three electric motors. What changes is entirely how it looks.

Sixty years, two tones, one story

The Miura's signature two-tone paint returns as a lower-body livery running from the front splitter to the rear sills, offered in gold (Oro Elios) or silver-titanium (Grigio Nimbus), each paired with its own dedicated wheel finish, Altanero Shiny Gold or Altanero Matt Titanium Diamond. A "Miura 60" logo sits on the sill near the rear wheel arch, badges and brake calipers go gloss black, and the exhaust tips are finished in matte black. Nine exterior colours pull directly from historic Miura shades, including Verde Scandal and Blu Tahiti.

Cannelloni seats and a numbered plaque

Inside, tan Classica leather carries the "cannelloni" quilted pattern lifted straight from the original Miura's seats and door cards, with "Miura 60" embroidered into the rear bulkhead. Every car gets a carbon fibre dashboard plaque reading "Miura 60, Serie Speciale, 1 di 99," the kind of detail this segment of buyer specifically pays for.

The engine nobody touched

Under the two-tone paint sits an unmodified Revuelto: a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 paired with three electric motors and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, for a combined 1,015 hp and 807 Nm of torque, 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, and a top speed beyond 350 km/h. Nothing about the powertrain, chassis, or performance has changed from the car anyone can already order.

Twice as many as last time

Ninety-nine cars is double the run of the Aventador Miura Homage that Lamborghini built a decade earlier, developed through the Ad Personam personalisation programme working with the Centro Stile design department. It is also not the only limited Revuelto tribute on the books, following the Revuelto NA63 built specifically for a market outside Europe. CEO Stephan Winkelmann framed the appeal in exactly those terms: "For our collectors and customers, exclusivity means authenticity, rarity and lasting emotional value."

Price and timing

Lamborghini has not disclosed pricing, but a car built almost entirely around paint, trim, and a numbered plaque should sit well above the standard Revuelto's roughly 500,000 euro starting point once Ad Personam options are added.

AutoNext Take

Sixty years on, giving the Miura its own two-tone livery, cannelloni seats, and a numbered dashboard plaque is exactly the kind of send-off an anniversary this significant deserves. Lamborghini did not need to reinvent the Revuelto to make this feel special, a birthday car is supposed to celebrate what came before it, not outdo it.

Pulling all nine colours straight from Miura history rather than inventing new ones, and matching the wheel finish to the livery down to the last detail, is the sign of a team that actually cared about getting this right. Ninety-nine owners get to drive a proper toast to the car that started it all, and that is a nice way to mark sixty years.

Toyota's LFA successor already has a hotter variant chasing a Porsche GT3 RS

Toyota Gazoo Racing's GR GT, described as the spiritual successor to the Lexus LFA, arrives in 2027 as a standard road car and a more aggressive track variant. The standard car pairs a 4.0-liter twin-turbo hybrid V8 with 650 hp, while the hotter version has already been spotted testing at the Nurburgring against a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, before the base model has reached a single customer.
