Tweedehands Dacia Dokker

Dacia was founded in 1966 in Romania to build Renaults under licence, and for thirty years the Dacia 1300, a Renault 12 by another name, was the car of an entire nation. Renault bought the company outright in 1999 with a plan that most of the industry thought was mad: a brand-new car for 5,000 euros.

The Logan of 2004 proved the doubters wrong, and the Sandero and Duster turned Dacia into a phenomenon. By stripping out what buyers did not need and keeping what they did, Dacia became the brand of choice for anyone who wanted a new car without the new-car premium.

Today the Sandero is regularly Europe's best-selling car to private buyers, the Duster and Bigster cover the SUV market, the Jogger seats seven and the Spring is one of the cheapest electric cars on sale. Dacia calls it essential, and the rest of the industry has spent a decade trying to copy it.
