Tweedehands Kia Rio

The Rio was Kia's honest little supermini, and as a used buy it still makes a lot of sense. The fourth generation arrived in 2017 and the engine to have is the 1.0 T-GDi turbo petrol with 100 or 120 hp; from the 2020 facelift it gained 48V mild-hybrid assistance and a clutch-by-wire manual (iMT). It never had the plush feel of a Polo, and Kia pulled it from Europe in 2023 without a direct replacement, so every Rio is now a used purchase. The upside is Kia's seven-year warranty, which transfers to the next owner, so a later car with a stamped service book may still have factory cover. Buy one if you want a simple, easy-going small car and don't need the height of a crossover.
