Tweedehands Peugeot 108

The 108 proves that a small car can still feel a little special, especially in TOP! form with its retractable fabric roof. It was built in the Czech Republic alongside the Citroën C1 and Toyota Aygo; later cars use a 72 hp 1.0 three-cylinder, while early ones were also offered with an 82 hp 1.2. It is cheap to run, easy to park and has a good reliability record, but the ride turns fidgety on broken roads and the TOP! lets in plenty of wind buffeting with the roof open. On any used 108, check that the clutch bites cleanly, because city driving can wear it faster than you would expect. Buy one if you want a stylish, low-cost runabout for town, not a car for long family trips.
