Tweedehands Suzuki Grand Vitara

Michio Suzuki built weaving looms in Hamamatsu from 1909, and only turned to motorised transport after the war, first with a clip-on bicycle engine and then, in 1955, with the Suzulight, one of Japan's first kei cars. Small, light and clever has been the house style ever since.

The Jimny of 1970 became the world's favourite tiny off-roader, the Swift made small cars fun again, and the Vitara helped invent the compact SUV in 1988. Suzuki also conquered India through Maruti, where it still sells roughly every second new car.

In Europe, Suzuki sells the Swift, Vitara, S-Cross and the Jimny as a commercial vehicle, all with mild-hybrid power, and the e Vitara as its first electric car. The brand's promise has not changed in seventy years: a well-built small car that does more than its size suggests.
