The Polo is basically a Golf from a few years ago shrunk down, and that is a huge compliment. It feels far more grown-up and solid than a supermini has any right to, with a quality cabin and refined manners that shame many bigger cars. It is the small car that never feels like a penalty box. Buy it if you want a supermini that feels like a proper, big-car-quality Volkswagen.
