Alpine has revealed the A110 FUTURE, a development mule previewing its electric third-generation A110, which it calls the world's first true EV sports car. It uses the new Alpine Performance Platform with an aluminium structure, dual rear e-motors with a 3-in-1 e-axle, 800V cell-to-pack battery tech and a 40/60 front-to-rear weight balance. The mule runs daily at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from 9 to 12 July, with the production car to follow afterwards.

Production of the petrol Alpine A110 has ended at the Dieppe factory as of 1 July 2026. In total, 35,450 A110s have been built there since 1969, including 28,701 of the current generation launched in 2017. The very last car was an A110 R 70 with 300 hp in Alpine Blue. A third-generation A110, targeted to be the first true electric sports car, will follow on Alpine's new APP platform, also built in Dieppe.

Did you know that Jason Castriota, the designer of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, built himself a one-off version of it? Starting from his own rare manual-gearbox 599, he spent two years re-bodying the car in carbon fibre into the aggressive GT Speciale, finished in a unique Blu Notte over Poltrona Rau leather. With its 6.0-litre V12 and six-speed manual, it may be the last great analogue V12 Ferrari, and it is worth many hundreds of thousands.

The BMW iX5 60 xDrive and Porsche Cayenne S Electric are two of the most complete electric SUVs on sale, and they take very different routes. The BMW wins on range (up to 845 km versus 653 km), charging (460 kW) and price (102,500 euro in Belgium versus 129,702 euro). The Porsche hits back with 666 hp against 578 hp, 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and a 250 km/h top speed. Both are hugely impressive machines.

Pagani founder Horacio Pagani has fulfilled a 60-year dream, buying the Ferrari 275 GTB4 he first fell for as a boy in Argentina after seeing one on a magazine cover. He acquired chassis 09021, the rare first pre-series car shown at the 1966 Paris Motor Show, at an RM Sotheby's auction in 2022, then had it painstakingly restored with Ferrari Classiche and Kessel in Lugano, even recreating the original Rosso Rubino paint from a 1960s tin.

SGT Automobili has revealed the full details of the 55-SGT, a road-legal tribute to the Italian touring car that won the 1993 DTM, a campaign that famously began with pole and victory on debut at Zolder. Built around a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 and a carbon, Kevlar and carbotitanium body, it comes in two forms: the 1,590 kg Stradale with up to 620 hp, and the lighter 1,490 kg supercharged Trofeo with 750 hp. Just 55 will be built, each a bespoke one-off, with the first 10 forming an Opening Edition.

Hyundai has revealed the Inster Lounge, a more upmarket version of its A-segment electric SUV. It adds fabric-and-leather seats, Kevlar-membrane speakers, 17-inch alloys, an exclusive Glow Mint paint and a highly flexible cabin with fully folding front seats. It keeps the 49 kWh battery and 115 hp motor for up to 360 km of WLTP range, with 10 to 80 percent fast charging in about 30 minutes. Pricing starts at around 30,000 euro across Europe, and it arrives in October 2026.

Lamborghini has revealed the Urus SE Performante, the most extreme version of its super SUV. It pairs a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor for 812 hp and 1,000 Nm, enough for 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and a 312 km/h top speed, while still offering more than 60 km of electric range from a 25.9 kWh battery. It is 32 kg lighter than the Urus SE, adds a new Rally mode and extensive carbon fibre, and goes on sale from 1 July 2026.

Bugatti's Sur Mesure division has revealed the Mistral Blanc Eternel, a one-of-one roadster created with Berlin porcelain house KPM. It wears white porcelain-look paint with hand-masked black lines tracing its curves, and uses real porcelain for details such as the speaker covers, gearshifter, and switches. Power comes from the familiar 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16, here making 1.600 hp, good for 0-100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and around 439 km/h. It is one of the last of the great W16 Mistrals.
