Koenigsegg has invented eight engineering technologies that the rest of the car industry either took years to copy or still cannot match. From the world's first 800V production car battery to a gearbox that can jump from 9th to 2nd gear in 30 milliseconds, this is the full list.

The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut has just posted two of the most significant performance numbers in production car history. At Koenigsegg's test facility in Sweden, test driver Markus Lundh drove the 1,193 kW hypercar to an 8.88-second quarter mile and a standing half-mile exit speed of 359.83 km/h, completing the run in 13.27 seconds. Both are world records for gas-powered production cars.

Mercedes-Benz is making the new electric GLC a little more accessible. The brand has expanded the GLC electric range with two new versions: the GLC 250 electric and the GLC 300 4MATIC electric. Prices now start from €64,130 for the rear-wheel-drive GLC 250 electric, while the all-wheel-drive GLC 300 4MATIC electric starts from €67,760.
