Stellantis is talking to two partners to turn Maserati around

Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa has confirmed the group is in talks with two potential partners to help turn around its struggling luxury brand Maserati. The partners could bring technology and development expertise, with Chinese firms Huawei and JAC Motors reportedly in the frame. Maserati is not for sale, and a decision on the partnership is expected in December.

Porsche is dropping the Taycan wagon in America, and Europe should feel lucky

Porsche is discontinuing the Taycan Cross Turismo and Sport Turismo in the United States for the 2027 model year, leaving Americans with only the saloon. The decision follows a sharp sales collapse, from a 2023 peak to just 4,142 cars in 2025 and 607 in the first quarter of 2026. In Europe, both wagon body styles continue.

LEGO built a drivable life-size Koenigsegg, and it set a speed record at Goodwood

To launch its new Technic Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear set, LEGO built a full-size, drivable version of the hypercar from 327,906 LEGO elements. Weighing around 1,800 kg and taking more than 9,400 hours to build, it was driven up the Goodwood hillclimb by Koenigsegg test driver Markus Lundh at 111 km/h, more than doubling the previous speed record for a LEGO vehicle.

The electric BMW 3 Series can now be ordered, and it promises 906 km of range

BMW has opened orders for the i3 50 xDrive First Edition, the fully electric 3 Series and the second model on its Neue Klasse platform. It produces 469 hp from dual motors, reaches 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and claims a WLTP range of up to 906 km from a 108.7 kWh battery. Its 800V system charges at up to 400 kW. Prices start at €73,435 in Belgium, with deliveries from autumn 2026.

Maserati gives its whole core range a birthday update, and the V6 gets angrier

Maserati has updated the GranTurismo, GranCabrio and Grecale together to mark 100 years of its Trident badge. All three get redesigned styling and reworked interiors, while the Nettuno V6 climbs to 590 hp in Trofeo form, a 40 hp gain. The Grecale also gains a 390 hp V6 option, and the fully electric Folgore versions, up to 760 hp, continue across the range.

The only Rosso Dino Ferrari Enzo just sold online for record money

A 2003 Ferrari Enzo finished in unique Rosso Dino paint has sold for $13,018,950, around €12 million, on duPont Registry Live. It is the most expensive car ever sold in an online-only auction, more than doubling the previous record. The car is the only one of 400 Enzos finished in Rosso Dino, a colour revived after seven decades at one owner's request, and has covered just 3,758 miles.

A Dutch firm turned the Ferrari 308 into the rally car Enzo always wanted

Dutch specialist Maturo has reimagined the Ferrari 308 as the Maturo 308 Stradale, a hand-built restomod inspired by the Michelotto Group 4 rally car developed in period with Enzo Ferrari's backing. It uses an original 308 donor car, a rebuilt V8 making up to 400 hp, a new five-speed manual and electronically adjustable suspension. Each one is tested and signed off by former WRC driver Kevin Abbring. Price: €425,000 plus VAT and the donor car.

McLaren has unveiled a bronze statue of Mika Hakkinen at its Woking home

McLaren has unveiled a bronze statue of two-time world champion Mika Hakkinen at its Technology Centre in Woking. The statue depicts the Finn at the 1998 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, where he won his first title, and joins the team's boulevard celebrating the figures who shaped its history. Hakkinen won 20 races and two championships across nine seasons with McLaren.

Porsche adds eight virtual gears and paddle shifters to the Taycan

Porsche has introduced E-Shift for the Taycan, a simulated eight-speed transmission that uses paddle shifters, haptic feedback and torque modulation to create the sensation of gear changes in an electric car. The system is standard on the Taycan Turbo GT and optional across the rest of the range, where it can be switched on or off at will.
