Ferrari's Atelier turned ten Purosangues into paintings of a continent

Ferrari's Atelier programme has revealed the American Grand Tour Atelier Collection: ten one-off Purosangues, each translating a US landscape or driving road into a bespoke colour, leather and interior. Every car keeps the 715 hp 6.5-litre V12, and the collection is Ferrari's clearest statement yet that storytelling personalisation, not the configurator, is the real luxury business.

A big Dutch insurer won't fully cover these Chinese cars, and it is a warning for all of Europe

Univé, one of the largest insurers in the Netherlands, has stopped offering comprehensive cover for Dongfeng, Nio and Zeekr and will write no new policies at all for Hongqi, Changan, Voyah, Leapmotor, VinFast, Jaecoo, MHero, Omoda and KGM. The reason is a missing European parts and repair network, and the same problem faces every European market, making it a clear buyer-beware for cheap Chinese EVs.

Geely is reportedly closing in on Le Mans, and Alpine's exit is its way in

Reports say Geely is negotiating to take over Alpine's Hypercar programme for a 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship entry. Rather than build a car from scratch, the Chinese group would buy the existing Alpine A424 LMDh, restyle it and re-homologate it as an unnamed Geely model, with Signatech expected to stay on as the team and Aramco linked as a backer. None of it is confirmed, and the badge the car would wear is still unknown.

Norris wins, Verstappen crashes out on lap one and his Zandvoort farewell ends almost before it began

Lando Norris won a chaotic, wet-dry Dutch Grand Prix from pole for his second win in a row, but the story of the day was Max Verstappen crashing out on lap one of his final home race at Zandvoort. Behind Norris, Mercedes used team orders to move George Russell aside for championship leader Kimi Antonelli, who finished second ahead of Russell. Antonelli extended his title lead to 59 points over Russell and Hamilton.

The Tedson Etna's cabin is a war on touchscreens, fought with an open-gate manual

Tedson Motors has revealed the interior of the Etna, its 600 hp Lamborghini Gallardo restomod. The cockpit is defiantly analog, built around an open-gated manual on a carbon spine, aircraft-style billet toggle switches and machined metal vents, with digital tech such as a MoTeC display and Apple CarPlay allowed in only where it helps. Just 77 will be built, from around 720,000 euros before the donor car.

America now buys more than half of all McLarens, and Britain's supercar maker wants even more

The United States now accounts for more than half of McLaren's global sales, and CEO Nick Collins wants to grow the brand's 27-strong US dealer network by up to 40 percent, adding five to ten stores and company-run experience centres in New York, Miami and Los Angeles. Backed by Abu Dhabi owner CYVN, McLaren is also hinting at entirely new product categories beyond its supercars.
